Violinmaking: the use of the wood

Our goal is to achieve natural acoustics and the world of music has always been a source of great inspiration in this. Wood, first of all, guarantees the production of the authentic sound par excellence. In 1983, in the small workshop in Monteviale on the hills of Vicenza, we made Parva, one of our first creations, the two-way speaker with solid walnut wood cabinet. But it is 1993 the year of the revolution, when, for the creation of the extraordinary Guarneri Homage, we embarked on a real path of study of the art of violinmaking. Violinmaking is a noble discipline handed down by the knowledge of skilled masters, experts in the creation of string instruments, such as violins, violas, cellos, and in knowing how to enhance the material making it resonate in accordance with best practice.

Violinmaking: Guarneri Homage

Guarneri Homage is our first creation to inherit the lute shape. With its convex and ovoid body, it is the most representative musical instrument of the original doctrine. With Guarneri Homage we wanted to pay homage to the family of the same name; Guarneri, in fact, was one of the most important exponents of Cremonese violin making tradition, alongside Amati and Stradivari, The Cremona’s school method is considered a unique know-how of its kind, an art appreciated all over the world and recognized as an intangible heritage of Humanity.

In 1998 Amati Homage joins Guarneri giving life to the first version of the iconic Homage collection. With Cremona, in 2001 another family of speakers was introduced to enhance the lute shape cabinet.

Finally, in 2018 it is our latest Sonetto collection to pay homage to tradition, respecting that care and that characteristic detail of the Italian know-how.
