2020: shorter songs
Forbes has already talked about this in 2019 but it seems to be a confirmation also in 2020: songs are becoming shorter in order to meet the increasingly lower listener’s attention. However songs’ structure is changing also because of streaming: it’s better to listen two short tracks instead of one long.
Last year Old Town Road by Lil Nas X has been the shortest number-one single from 1960s till today: it lasts only 113 seconds.

In the United States only there are more than 182 million subscribers to streaming services: listening to music with our loudspeakers from streaming sources is becoming a must, especially for young people.
